I'm an accomplished visual designer and creative thinker, with an eye for detail, and flair for creating fresh, honest, compelling designs. I would love to bring visual continuity to your business. After 30 years of design experience I continue to love what I do!
I enjoy being a freeform artist that works outside the lines. My Visual Effects, Animation, and traditional Arts background bring a number of skills to the department and the creative.
I attended the Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy, in Chicago Illinois where I had the opportunity to work with my childhood icon, Director of The Nightmare Before Christmas, Henry Selick.
As one of our Creative Directors, I bring 25 years of experience in Hollywood as an actor, writer and producer, to create messages that stand out; from conceptualization, to finding the right words, to audio and visual execution. I believe that the best advertisements tell unique stories and are customized for every client.
After winning the Spelling Bee contest in 4th grade, I knew my life was destined for greatness. Since that didn’t pan out, I dedicated my life to a career as a heartthrob on the big screen. Since that didn’t pan out either, I have now been writing and producing TV & Radio commercials for the last 23 plus years. A rough guesstimate puts me at about 26,391 scripts written over the years. Needless to say, my fingers are now short stubby nubs. I would love to be able to use these nubs to write my 26,392nd script for you.

I have always liked audio and video manipulation. Before computers, I used to splice the wires going from my synthesizer and tape deck into a second tape deck to make multi-track recordings. It was the “poor man’s” way to make music. My brother and I used to do pretend newscasts. He would be the anchor and I would do the weather. It seemed like my childhood playtime always had something to do with TV or radio. I still like to make music and create graphic art work. It’s nice to have a job in the field that I am most interested in.
I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work with talented individuals to create video productions that are limited only to our imagination. I assist with video editing, videography, studio setup, and the distribution of digital assets to ensure that our clients get the best possible product as quickly and efficiently as possible. When I’m not in the studio, I enjoy woodworking, playing guitar, and spending time with family and friends.
I produce not only radio commercials, but also edit the audio for a ‘lion's share’ of our TV and internet commercials. I’m a former radio broadcaster with a total of some twenty-five years on the air in Eastern and Northeast Iowa. I am an aviation enthusiast; plus I love medium cooked steak, pizza and peanut butter cookies. I also have a profound love of nature, and enjoy observing wild life.
I've been with Mudd Advertising
since the fall of 1998 and I currently serve as the president and
general manager of studio5@mudd. I'm fortunate to work with an
incredibly talented staff of creative people responsible for
developing a wide variety of audio & video production at our
in-house production facility.
I came to Mudd Advertising with commercial broadcasting
experience from KWWL-TV in Waterloo where I spent 11 years
shooting, editing, writing, and directing commercials. I am a
graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and have lived in Cedar
Falls for too many years to mention.
My job is to assemble the moving pieces into your masterpiece. The best part of being a video editor is watching a spot grow and evolve. Our creative process has given birth to some truly amazing spots. In the last 6 years the most important thing I’ve learned is that as a professional you are never done learning.
